Google Pixel 7a Revealed in Leaked

The tech world is eagerly anticipating the official launch of Google's latest addition to the Pixel 7 series, the affordable Google Pixel 7a. However, several leaked images and specifications have surfaced online, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect.

The leaked images, released exclusively by zingnews, reveal that the Google Pixel 7a will have an identical design to the Google Pixel 7. The phone will have the model number GHL1X and come with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM from Samsung and 128GB onboard storage capacity from SK Hynix/Micron.

Test Unit for Programmers

Another platform, ZingNews, has also published images of the Google Pixel 7a. These images show that the phone is a test unit for programmers in Vietnam and features a USB Type-C port at the bottom, along with a single SIM slot. It also has the same wraparound camera module at the back as the Google Pixel 7.

Anticipated Specs

According to a leak by tipster Debayan Roy (Gadgetsdata), the Google Pixel 7a will be powered by a Tensor G2 chipset, specifically designed by Google for its Pixel 7 series of phones. Additionally, the device is expected to come with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The leak suggests that the Pixel 7a will feature a 6.1-inch full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, in line with earlier rumors about the device's screen. The camera specs are also expected to impress, with a dual rear camera system consisting of a 64MP Sony IMX787 sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens.

Expected Launch Date

The highly anticipated Google Pixel 7a may be officially launched during Google's annual developer conference, Google I/O 2023, which is scheduled for May 10. Fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Pixel 7a, along with other new gadgets and the Android 14, which Google may announce during the conference. This launch strategy is similar to the Pixel 6a, which was announced at Google I/O 2022 in May and released in July 2022.
