Google One's Magic Eraser Feature

Magic Eraser Feature is Now Available to All Modern Smartphones

Google has announced that its popular Magic Eraser feature is now available to all modern smartphones through a Google One subscription. Previously exclusive to Pixel phones, Magic Eraser is a powerful tool that enables users to remove unwanted objects from photos, similar to Photoshop.

Now, anyone with a One membership can access the feature through the Google Photos app on both Android and iOS devices. This move by Google follows a recent Super Bowl ad that showcased the impressive results of Magic Eraser.

For Pixel users, there is even more good news. Those with pre-Tensor devices such as the Pixel 5a or Pixel 5 can access Magic Eraser without a subscription, starting today.

The rollout will take a few weeks, but users can begin using the tool immediately.

Additionally, Google has introduced new editing features for One members and Pixel users, including a new HDR video effect, new collage styles, and the ability to apply styles to individual photos in a collage.

Google One members will also receive free shipping on all print orders, which should make it easier to obtain physical copies of their photo collections.

This service is currently only available in the US, Canada, the European Union, and the United Kingdom. With the death of free Photos storage, a Google One membership has become virtually required for anyone who wants to store their photos on the cloud.

The subscription service offers a variety of benefits, including additional storage space, family sharing, and access to exclusive features such as Magic Eraser.
